We managed to get a short interview from the captain of the rafting team, Ivan Dimitrov:

How long you have been working with Adecco and what’s your position?

I started my career in Adecco on 5th January 2009 as first line agent in the GSD – Ericsson project.
So far I`m the Team Leader in Adecco UK IT Service Desk.

Congratulations with the 1st place in the Rafting competition. Please for your comments on the event.

I can start with” It was fun”

So, to be able to take the first place, it means that we had to be well prepared.
Rafting is very rare sport and it was great challenge for me to find the best players.
I managed to organize the trainings to be in the same place as the Championship. The trainers that I found were one of the best there, which were leading us with great attitude and relevant skills. They showed us how and what we need to do in order to become winners. The rest was simultaneous pulling with full power.
After I gathered the team we made a training just before the event, which didn`t exhausted us, but even made us stronger team.
One of the good parts was just after the start, when the stream got our boat and plugged it between the other boats, and they just pulled us, without any motion from our side. After we managed to push the other boats on a side we showed to other teams how they have to pull and what to do in order to win.
We managed to beat the time record for the distance, even that we had to stop for gathering flags.
At the end it was pleasure for me and the team to make some photos together with the teams of the other companies.

What is the outcome for you as a person and as a manager in the company?

The personal achievements that I earned are at the same time achievements for the company.
So I become better team player. The event learnt me what is the better to do in extreme situations. Also it brought closer some of the main players in the Adecco team, which is positive for the company itself.

Is there anything you can recommend to your colleagues and the high management of the company?

Yes, of course. I have two things.
First for the colleagues : Don`t ever hesitate to participate in any kind of sport events, because the sport gives health, positive emotions and increase the tonus for the everyday tasks.
Second for the high management: I know that there are a lot of work to do, but it is always better to have some of them among us during the competitions.
